ARE YOU READY TO BAKE SOME AUTHENTIC MALTESE PASTIZZI?

Pastizzi are everyone’s FAVORITE go-to snack that you can find in any corner of Malta & Gozo. Through this culinary experience, I shall share with you some of my Maltese Culture, including the traditional recipe of Pastizzi and the history linked to this snack.

Once our hands are washed and aprons are on we can start to get messy together.

You will prepare the Pastizzi dough from scratch as I guide you through my grandma’s recipe step by step.

Together we will also make the fillings.

Then, to keep it authentic we will munch away at our freshly oven-baked pastizzi with a nice cold Cisk beer, Kinnie or some te fit-tazza (tea).

Your Host

As a foodie, who loves to travel, i’m always in search of that perfect dish or quick and easy snack…but… I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s nothing more indulgent than home cooked meals and my favorite, grandma’s recipes prepared with love.

As food is our common ground – the kitchen is our temple where I will share the secrets of Maltese Cuisine.

This Experience will be held in my apartment in Sliema, which is very easy to find. Details of the location will be given upon booking

Pick Up & Drop off is not Included.

You can make use of public transport to reach your destination.

GTB can also assist you with organising private transport at an additional cost.

  • Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Children under the age of 10 can join for free
Food to Expect
My home is found on the top floor of a 5 story apartment in the center of Sliema. We will cook & prepare the food from scratch around the kitchen-island. Then we will savor or Pastizzi seated around the dinning- table or if weather permits we can even snack outside, on the terrace.

Traditional Maltese Food Included:

  • Local pastries called ‘Pastizzi’ – Pastizzi are phyllo-pastry based snacked traditionally made with LARD and filled with ricotta cheese or mushy peas

Traditional Maltese Drinks Included:

  • Local Beer
  • Local Soft Drink ‘Kinnie’
  • Te fit-tazza (tea, served in a glass, the traditional way)
