The seaside town of Plettenberg Bay is a popular holiday destination situated just 2.5 hours’ drive west of Gqebertha, on the spectacular coastal Garden Route, The Portuguese explorers called it the ‘Beautiful Bay’, and it’s easy to see why – Plettenberg Bay is a picturesque, charming town with endless pristine beaches, tranquil lagoons, clean rivers, indigenous forests, and a dramatic rocky peninsula. Playground to the wealthy, beach mansions overlook the Indian Ocean, often dotted with luxury yachts, while leisure time is given over to polo and golf, among other things. However, all kinds of visitors will feel at peace here as simply swimming in the warm water on a safe beach is a great way to experience the beauty of Plettenberg Bay. Adrenaline seekers can visit Bloukrans Bridge, a 30-minute drive away, to do the highest bungee jump on earth.
VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)
Victoria Falls is one of seven natural wonders of the world and one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It goes without saying that the heartbeat of Africa is synonymous with tribal drums. Gold’s optional pre-dinner interactive djembe drumming sessions at 18:30 every night are a fun precursor to a memorable dining experience.

This morning you will have an early start. You will be met by your driver and transferred to the foot of the iconic Table Mountain for an early morning hike. Your experienced guide will lead you along the best trails. Along the way you will be learning about the fauna and flora, history and interesting stories of the mountain.
After you have reached the summit enjoy breath-taking views. Descend with the cable car, another experience that will leave you amazed at the beauty of our mother city.
Lunch will be in the beautiful Company Gardens. The Company’s Garden is Cape Town’s green lung. This oasis right in the center of the city is a favourite for both locals and tourists. The site is important historically and is a thriving urban space where buskers strum guitars while office workers sun themselves over lunch hour. The Company’s Garden is home to a surprising—and at times overwhelming—amount of fauna. There are the famous squirrels, who you can purchase bags of nuts to feed. There are pigeons, Egyptian geese, herons, and rodents, and there is even an aviary where dozens of species of birds can be viewed.
Your late afternoon will comprise of an amazing activity where you have the opportunity to sea kayak. See some of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks, including Table Mountain, Robben Island and the majestic Twelve Apostles Mountain Range.
You’ll paddle through time as we pass well-known shipwrecks like the RMS Athens, SS South African Seafarer, SS Thermopylae and De Schip – don’t forget to ask your guides about them.
You may also encounter a marine mammal or two, such as our acrobatic and much-loved endemic Heaviside’s dolphins, Cape fur seals, southern right whales, humpback whales and Bryde’s whales. Sometimes, we are lucky and see ocean sunfish – Mola mola – due to the abundance of their favourites fare: jellyfish, zooplankton, crustaceans and algae. On rare occasions, we see orcas and Cape clawless otters.
The beauty of kayaking is: you never know what you’ll see when setting off on an ocean safari. It’s best to have no expectations, then every sighting is a welcome surprise!

You will be transferred to Grabouw for an amazing Ziplining experience.
After a safety briefing and kitting up at the reception area, guests will be transported by 4×4 vehicle high into the mountain range. Two guides will accompany each small group, ensuring strict safety standards all the while providing an enlightening and educational experience, providing interesting facts about the nature and geology of this interesting area. Slide along steel cables from platform to platform, taking you past waterfalls and through valleys, enjoying all that Mother Nature has to offer. With 13 platforms and slides up to 300m long, both nature and adventure enthusiasts will be sure to come back for more! After a short walk back to the vehicle, they transport you back down to base.
Follow the road that leads to Hermanus, a beautiful picturesque coastal town. Here you will find an abundance of local shops and restaurants. There are hiking trails all along the coast that will provide you with an opportunity to do land based whale watching. Remember you binoculars. October is whaling season with lots of sightings along the trails.

Tsitsikamma National Park and also Knysna Forrest offers visitors the opportunity to connect with the sights and sounds of nature. The reserve is a national monument and World Heritage Site. Here, visitors can spot animals which include the Western Cape’s smallest antelope and the rare blue duiker. Activities visitors can enjoy, include swimming, hiking, walks, bird watching, angling, and picnicking as well as whale and dolphin watching. Visitors also have the opportunity of viewing the Cape Seal Lighthouse, the highest navigational light in South Africa, reaching 146 meters above sea level.

Today starts with an exciting day of black water tubing.
This guided trip includes a 20-minute scenic forest drive from Storms River Village to the drop-off and pick-up point in the old Storms River Pass. At the river edge, you receive your tube and they take you for a short upstream paddle to a sandy beach where you sling our tube over uour shoulder and walk a further 200m to the next calm pool.
Jump onto your Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP) and paddle approximately 800m further to an 8m optional cliff jump. Don’t worry, they will demonstrate first and if you’re up for it, you’re welcome to take the leap. Whilst the brave hearts are leaping those that want to take the day a little easier are kept entertained with activities like SUP handstands, tube balancing and swimming.
A well-earned chocolate bar marks the turn-around point at the Jump site and you paddle back to where your tubes were left at River’s edge. From here they now take you on a spectacular round route downstream, tubing pool hop back to the low water bridge where you started.
The Green Route forest experience entails 1.5 fun-filled hours of mild activity in exquisite Tsitsikamma scenery.

The trekking level for this trip is beginner. Even for a first-timer, the treks in this itinerary are achievable if you make proper preparation prior to departure. This is all doable for an average- fit person.
Mountain and forest treks are not paved and likely to get rough, rocky, and gravel-strewn most of the time.
You don’t need to be a hardcore trekker or an athlete, that’s for sure. If you’re already an avid trekker, this should not be much of a challenge for you. The fitter you are, the higher your chances of success. Even for a first-timer, this trek is achievable if you make proper preparation prior to departure.

September is Spring in South Africa. Weather will be mild and sunny, with very comfortable temperatures around 15-20 degrees.
Pack a mix of cool, light, comfortable clothes and some warm clothes for the evenings. Raincoat or waterproof outer shall is always great to have, as well as sun protection (Hat, sunglasses and sunblock).
As per WHO suggestions, make sure you are up-to-date on all routine vaccines such as flu, tetanus, chickenpox and measles. All eligible travellers should be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines. It is recommended to have all shots of Hep A & Hep B, rabies and typhoid.
Should you feel uncomfortable with any of the included activities in the itinerary, by all means you are free to pass and enjoy the surrounding area with leisure while the group returns back.
For example, if you are scared of heights, you may chose to pass the Ziplining, and if you are not a good swimmer, you may choose to pass the open- water sea kayaking.
