Itinerary (Drop-down menu)

Day 1Arrival in Albania

Arrivals at the airport, we will organize the airport  pick up and transfer you to the hotel in center of Tirana. After getting some time to rest we will organize a tour in Tirana to visit the most interesting tourist attractions such us: Skenderbeg Square, Et’Hem Bej Mosque, Clock Tower, Bunk Art 2 , The Pyramid, Blloku Area, Air Albania stadium, etc. If you arrive late we can do this on last day.

Day 2Tirana - Qafe Thore & Boge - Thethi National Park - Grunasi Waterfall

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Thethi National Park considered as the Pearl of Albanian Alps. Our first  stop will be in Boge & Qafe Thore Balcony, this is a wood balcony in an altitude of 1720m above sea level which gives you the best point of view of the mountains. After a short stop at the balcony and the small glacial lake we will continue our road to Thethi  National Park.

Theth is a wonderful village in northern Albania set among the peaks of the mountains.  Natural beauties of this region begins once you have passed Boge village and do not end at any moment you will stay in Theth.

Head to Grunasi Waterfall. It’s more than 30m high and  at the bottom, a natural bath with emerald water is created, which completes the rare decor for which it has gained the status of a natural monument. To reach the waterfall we will need to walk  for 50 minutes ( 20 minutes easy and 30 minutes medium difficulty). After spending around 1h there to swim, explore and take pictures  we will take the way back to our hotel.

Day 3 Nderlyse (The Stone Groves) - The Blue Eye of Thethi – Shkoder

After a breakfast with local products you will head  to the Blue Eye of Thethi. Arrive to Nderlyse- Grunasi Canyon – Stone groves of Nderlyse and then you will walk towards Blue eye of Thethi, the most frequented natural attraction in Theth. Located between rocky and green slopes, with its depth this well takes on the colors of blue and emerald depending on the season, forming a fascinating landscape for all visitors. To reach the destination it requires a 40-50 minutes easy to moderate walking.  

In Theth you can try zipline and ATV tour..

Head back to Shkoder for lunch near the lake or river.  This will be your last destination for today. After hotel check-in you can have free time in the city or with the group. You may also rent bikes and go for a ride by the lake.

Day 4 Komani Lake & Shala River Adventure

You will have an early departure from Shkoder  ( around 07:00) and head to Komani lake. This day you will have take away breakfast. After arriving there you will take the boat to reach Shala river and the boat trip is on the amazing blue waters of Komani lake, between the mountains full of green trees (1.5 hours one way).

In Shala river you can swim, try local food, rent kayaks, sunbathe,  zip line etc. You will stay in Shala River overnight.

Day 5Shala River - Mrizi I Zanave

Breakfast at the guesthouse.  We will  stay there until 14:00 then take the return boat trip around 1h. You can do trekking, swim relax etc  or we can leave the river in the morning and visit Mrizi I Zanave Agrotourism. We can also take the morning boat trip and stay further in the lake so you can do kayaking. So we have multiple options that can be discussed and customized.

Expected arrival in Tirana around 21:00.

Day 6Tirana - Gjirokastra - The Blue Eye - Saranda

Head south and your first stop is the stone city of Gjirokastra, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005 it’s one of the most visited cities in Albania. Gjirokastra Bazaar, with its cobblestoned streets, medieval facades, makes up the center and the heart of the Old Town. The first attraction that welcomes visitors is thought to date back to the Ottoman period, although almost nothing is left of that period. By taking a walk around the historical city center, you will explore all of its major attractions.

First destination will be The Castle of Gjirokastra, undoubtedly one of the most magnificent fortresses in Albania and one of the biggest in the Balkans, has a superb view over the valley. Your guide will explain more about the history of Albania.

After that you will be free to move around the old city center ( The old Bazaar). There you can find many handmade artisanal products and that will be the perfect place for souvenirs. Here you can also have lunch.

After lunch you will visit  the Blue Eye of Saranda. It’s a water spring famous for its clear turquoise water with bubbles coming from the bottom to the surface (20 minutes walk each way or you can rent scouters or use the train)

Day 7Ksamil Beach & Islands

After breakfast you will head to one of the pearls of Albanian Riviera, Ksamil. The light blue waters and the white sand has made that Ksamil considered the European Maldive. This will be a relaxing day. Those interested for adventure can also take jet skis, speed boats, kayaks, pedal boats etc and explore  the 3 islands.

By late afternoon you will head to Lekursi Castle, the best sunset spot in Saranda.

Day 8Boat trip to Kroreza Beach

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Option 1: The boat trip  starts at 10:00 and we will go there with a short bus ride.

During the trip we will have music and stop in different beaches only accessible by boat. The boat has 2 floors (1 without music for those wondering for relax and the upper floor with music).

Some of the beaches are private and the boat is not allowed to go closer than 20 meters but people can  jump from the boat, sunbathe on the boat, or go swimming at the shore.

The longest stop will be in Krorez Bay 3 hours and there you can enjoy the beach & sun.

The boat has a restaurant in the beach so we will have lunch there. During the return trip on the boat  is organized Schiuma party and the atmosphere is amazing. We will return in Saranda at 17:00

Option 2: Butrint Archeological Park +  Ksamil

We can visit Butrint archeological park and after that we can drop you in ksamil or snother beach to relax.

The Butrint National Park is the most famous attraction in the south of Albania and the UNESCO World Heritage site is the most visited archaeological park i n the country. Archaeological monuments include walls, a large basilica, gates, mosaics, baths, an early Christian baptistery, a Roman theater and two castles. 

After the visit  you can relax in the crystal  waters of Ksamil or Saranda.

Day 9Riviera Route - Porto Palermo - LLogara National Park - Tirana

After breakfast you will take the Riviera Route with some stops on the way. Our first stop will be Porto Palermo. We will spend 1.5h in the peninsula so those who would like to go swimming will enjoy the clear water and the others can explore the castle.

Our next stop will be in LLogara National Park at the view point to enjoy the amazing panorama  and after in Vlore for lunch.

You will have free time for lunch and after that will head to Tirana with a short stop on the way back.

Day 10Departure Day

This will be the last day of this amazing trip. We will organize the drop off based on your flights .  Depending on departure time you can get some time for shopping, souvenirs, etc.

You should be at the airport 2.5-3 hours before departure.
