We will meet at Malta International Airport on the 12th September 2024 and together you will travel to Thessaloniki with your group leaders. Once we land in Thessaloniki, we will transfer to our 5* hotel in Halkidiki. Throughout this laid-back 5-day tour, you will immerse yourself in beautiful scenery, scenic beaches, amazing food, and natural wonders – You are free to do whatever you like or to join in on our optional activities listed in our day-to-day itinerary.

Itinerary

5 Days in Halkidiki, Greece

Day 1 - 12th September '24Malta to Thessaloniki

Arrival at SKG airport – Drive to Halkidiki and check in at the 5 * hotel. 

10.00am: Arrive at Thessaloniki Airport and begin the journey towards Halkidiki 

12.30pm: Check-in to Alexandros Palace after which, we will head to a memorable lunch at an old shipyard 

After lunch, you will have free time to explore Lerissos city or opt for an additional activity which is Beer & Cheese tasting

  • Optional Activity 1: Lunch at Shipyard – €35
  • Optional Activity 2: Beer & Cheese tasting – €18

If you prefer not to participate in any optional activities, you can either enjoy the hotel’s facilities or relax by the beautiful turquoise waters of Halkidiki.

Day 2 - 13th September '24Halkidiki

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Leisurely nature walk in a protected area (1km) which leads to beautiful baths and a waterfall (Varvara’s waterfall) – For this activity you will need outdoor shoes and swim suit since you will be able to swim. 
  • At lunch time we will visit tour a mussel farm, where you will also eat and enjoy fresh mussels cooked with different recipes.
  • Enjoy time at the resort in the evening followed by dinner
  • Optional Activity 1: Mussel Farm Tour with Lunch & Drinks included – €60
  • Optional Activity 2: Waterfall guided trail – €20
  • Transport for activities – €30 per person

Day 3 - 14th September '24Halkidiki

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Boat trip – Enjoy a day out at sea on a private boat, where you can swim in the Blue Lagoon- Vourvourou’s islet, and enjoy an included lunch. You can also choose to do some fishing or spend 2 hours of free time exploring the beautiful town of Ouranoupolis.

Optional Activity 1: Boat trip – €105

If you prefer not to participate in the optional activity, you can either enjoy the hotel’s facilities or relax by the beautiful turquoise waters of Halkidiki.

Day 4 - 15th September '24Halkidiki

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast you will head to Halkidiki’s secret paradise – Ammouliani Island
  • Our journey starts from the picturesque village of Ammouliani, the only inhabitable island of Halkidiki, the village of Kapetania.
  • First stop is the Folklore Museum of Ammouliani
  • Second stop is the church of St. Nicholas, built in 1865 by monks of Mount Athos.
  • Third stop, the central café of the village, the oldest on the island (1932), where we will enjoy Greek coffee with the traditional spoon sweets. In the courtyard, a cooking lesson will
  • Fourth stop visit to one of the famous beaches of Ammouliani, Alykes with its turquoise
    waters
  • Arrive at a 4* hotel in Thessaloniki and check in
  • In the late afternoon/evening, you are free to do your own thing and for dinner you could decide to eat as a group or do your own thing.

Optional Activity 1: Ammouliani Tour – €100

If you prefer not to participate in optional activity, you can either enjoy the hotel’s facilities or relax by the beautiful turquoise waters of Halkidiki until the group return before departing for Thessaloniki.

  • Our local partners and tour leader can adjust the itinerary at the last minute due to weather conditions. Changes will only be made with your safety and well-being in mind, and not for any other reason.
  • If you decide to switch from a shared room to a single room after booking, the single supplement option won't apply. We'll need to work out a new price for the single room based on each individual case.
  • It is the responsibility of the persons joining an experience to communicate any food intolerances/allergy-related information. GTB or the Service Provider will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food/drinks consumed, or items one may come in contact with while on an experience

  • Travel and Health insurance is obligatory: All travellers must be fully insured, and purchase their own travel insurance which covers trekking up to 4000m. A waiver document must be filled in, signed and sent back to Globaltravelbook.
  • International flights are not included. You must book your own flights and be in the visiting country on the itinerary dates. Your flight must arrive by or before the Arrival Day, and depart no earlier then the Departure Day.
  • Signing up to any of our trips and any risks involved are the sole responsibility of the individual, and organizers cannot be held responsible in any way to illness, altitude sickness, injury or trauma during the trip.
  • If a traveller for some reason cannot travel on the dates, the organiser is not responsible.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel your booking, we will offer a refund of any balance which we have not yet paid or are obliged to pay to any other Third Party. When a booking is cancelled within the month prior to departure, the remaining balance will be non refundable as well as we would be fully committed at that stage. All types of travel insurance are supposed to cover “cancellations” and for this reason we require that such travel insurance is purchased prior to travel.
