Our next foodie event is finally here!

The team of Globaltravelbook have had the privilege to experience and taste Sri Lankan food here in Malta. After trying and tasting the food at Cade, we have to say that we were truly amazed with the quality and taste of the food.  Even though Sri Lankan food is known to be spicy, they have toned down the spice which could be adjusted according to someone’s preference. 

Globaltravelbook, together with Cade, have come together to organise an all-you-could-eat, food experience for our foodie community for €35. Cade will offer a traditional style dinner with a selection of delicious Sri Lankan dishes to enjoy. 

What food to expect on the night?

Starters

  • Coconut roti served with a variety of dips ( lunimiris, seeni sambol and pol sambol)

Main course

  • Beef Curry
  • Pork Devilled
  • Kottu Chicken
  • Potato Curry
  • Lentil Curry
  • Pumpkin Curry 
  • Yellow Rice & Milk Rice
  • Veg Rice & Noodles
  • Carrot Sambol & Sri Lankan Salad

  • Coconut pudding
We invite all you travel foodies to join us on the 17th of October 2023 to experience the taste of Sri Lanka here in Malta like a local, as we dine at Cade with Karit and her family. (Vegetarian options available: see above).
 
This is a seated event and places are limited, we may only accept 50 persons due to the limited cooking ability of since everything, including sauce are made in-house. The price will be €35 per person which includes all the above except for any drinks which could be purchased from the restaurant itself.
 
The Sri Lankan food experience is our fourth food event. We only do these events to bring people together to enjoy and share the love of food together. Meet Carit, a Maltese National who left Malta years ago and went on to marry Mahendra Maharagama and lived together in Colombo, Sri Lanka for 6 years. Today, Carit and her family have moved to Malta bringing with them an appreciation and love for Sri Lankan cuisine. Mahendra is a chef by profession and Carit studied front of house at ITS, together, they have put their skills and love together to open this amazing Sri Lankan restaurant named ‘Cade’.
