Frequently Asked Questions

How fit should I be to join the trip?

Ideal for active individuals looking to explore new places or try something fresh. These trips push you a bit harder, with 4–5 hours a day of activity across varied, sometimes rugged terrain. Prior experience is recommended but not essential. You will need some pre-trip preparation and an adventurous mindset is key!

Please ensure you are in decent physical condition and able to walk for extended periods of time.

Will it be the right season for this trip?

October is one of the best months for a Cappadocia trekking and adventure tour.

  • Excellent trekking temperatures: Daytime temperatures are generally comfortable for long hikes, with official Türkiye tourism material giving an average October daytime temperature around 18°C in Nevşehir. This is much more pleasant for trekking than the heat of July and August.
  • Beautiful autumn scenery: The valleys begin taking on autumn colours, while the distinctive Cappadocian rock formations remain spectacular. Türkiye’s tourism authority specifically highlights September and October as among the best times to enjoy Cappadocia’s landscapes.
  • Good for an active itinerary: Your planned routes through Zemi, Pigeon, Red, Ihlara and Gomeda Valleys should be much more comfortable than during the peak summer heat.
  • Better overall atmosphere: October is outside the hottest part of summer, making sightseeing, underground cities, villages and outdoor activities more enjoyable.
  • Hot-air balloon season: Balloon flights operate in October, although weather can always cause cancellations. Having several mornings in your itinerary gives you a better chance of flying.

What is the accommodation like?

Accomodation will be hand selected 4* hotels with Full Board. The price includes accommodation in a shared private double / twin room, however, if one wishes to have a private room that sleeps (1 person) , this is possible at an additional cost of  €300.

Each expedition sleeps under the stars in 2-men tents every night on the mountain. The trip includes fully catered camping + Tents for the expedition. Tents are pitched by our team of climbing crew and porters, and disassembled also by the same team.

What meals are included?

Full Board. All meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) are INCLUDED throughout the whole itinerary.

What type of insurance do I need?

Normal travel insurance is enough. Make sure your policy covers optional activities (like quad bike tour and hot air balloon).

What travel vaccines are needed?

Vaccinations are subjective – they are required like most destinations outside of Europe.

As per WHO suggestions, make sure you are up-to-date on all routine vaccines such as flu, tetanus, chickenpox and measles.

It is recommended to call the Floriana Immunisation centre for more specific details on 21231231.

Cancellation Policy

  • At Mexventures, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation approach is designed to be fair and transparent while recognising that many travel arrangements involve advance commitments to third-party suppliers.

    How to Cancel

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible by emailing mexventurestravel@gmail.com and cc’ing explore@globaltravelbook.com.

Your cancellation request will be effective from the date we receive written confirmation.

    Refunds and Cancellation Charges

Following cancellation, Mexventures will review your booking and determine what amounts can reasonably be recovered.

Where possible, we will recover any funds that have not yet been paid to, or are not contractually committed to, third-party suppliers, including but not limited to:

    • Accommodation providers
    • Airlines and transport operators
    • Activity and excursion providers
    • Guides and local operators
    • Permit and entry authorities
    • Other travel service providers

Some trip elements may be prepaid, non-refundable, or subject to supplier cancellation terms. These costs may still be payable even if you cancel your booking. Please note that many components of group travel are prepaid and non-refundable. As such, the closer the cancellation is to the departure date, the lower the likelihood of recovering any funds.

    As a general principle:

    • Early cancellations (3 months from the tour date): If cancellation is made sufficiently in advance and Mexventures has not yet committed funds or incurred non-recoverable costs, we may refund all or most of the amount paid, less any unrecoverable charges already incurred.
    • Late cancellations (within 3 months from the tour date): Where bookings have already been confirmed and payments committed to suppliers, cancellation charges will increase significantly and could result in little or no refund being available.

Cancellation outcomes will therefore be assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on supplier terms, timing, and recoverable costs.
