More than 50% of our bookings are from solo adventurers. We run open groups which means that anyone could join in the fun and meet like-minded travellers along the way. You can either team up with someone and share a room or else opt for the single supplement.

Day 0 - 10th JuneArrival Day in Nairobi

For those joining the flight group booking, you will depart all together from Malta International Airport.

Day 1 - 11th JuneNairobi City Tour

Around 9:00 AM, depart for Nairobi City Centre with time to exchange money and purchase a local SIM card.

Continue to Karura Forest for a relaxing walk through one of Nairobi’s most beautiful green spaces. Bicycle hire is optional.

Afterwards, head to Fairview Coffee Estate for lunch, followed by an afternoon coffee farm tour, learning about the journey from bean to cup.

Later, visit the Maasai Market for local crafts, souvenirs and a taste of Nairobi’s vibrant culture.

At around 6:00 PM, enjoy dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant at your own expense, before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 2 - 12th JuneNAIROBI - MASAAI MARA

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, travelling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint.

Continue via Narok Town before arriving at your lodge for lunch and check-in.

In the afternoon, head out on your first Maasai Mara game drive, searching for the Big Five and other wildlife across the reserve’s vast savannahs.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - 13th JuneMAASAI MARA - FULL DAY

After an early breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Explore the vast savannahs in search of the Big Five, along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and a wide variety of birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve before continuing your safari into the afternoon.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - 14th JuneMAASAI MARA (Local school tour) – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, visit Ololaimutia Primary School for a short cultural and educational experience. Meet pupils and teachers, learn about daily school life and gain insight into the local Maasai community. Guests may also choose to donate school supplies such as books, pens or school bags.

After the visit, depart the Maasai Mara and travel through the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru.

Upon arrival, check in and enjoy lunch before heading to Menengai Crater, one of Kenya’s most impressive volcanic calderas, offering panoramic views across the Rift Valley.

Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - 15th JuneLAKE NAKURU - NAIVASHA

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s best-known wildlife areas and an important sanctuary for both black and white rhinos.

Along the way, look out for flamingos, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes and a wide variety of birdlife, with a stop at Baboon Cliff for panoramic views over the lake and surrounding landscape.

Later, continue to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch and check-in.

In the afternoon, you can choose to join an optional Lake Naivasha boat ride and Crescent Island walking safari. Cruise across the lake in search of hippos and birdlife before exploring Crescent Island on foot with a guide, walking among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other plains animals.

Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - 16th JuneNAIVASHA - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, head to Hell’s Gate National Park for an active morning surrounded by dramatic cliffs, gorges and volcanic landscapes.

Explore the park on foot with a nature walk, or choose the optional cycling experience for a more adventurous way to discover the scenery and wildlife.

Later, continue towards Amboseli National Park, with lunch en route.

On arrival, check in at your camp and enjoy dinner before settling in for the night.

Day 7 - 17th JuneAMBOSELI - FULL DAY

After breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Spend the day searching for wildlife including lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos and wildebeest, as well as a wide variety of birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while taking in the incredible scenery.

Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 - 18th JuneAMBOSELI - NAIROBI

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi.

On arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax after your safari adventure.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel or at a restaurant of your choice at your own expense.

Day 9 - 19th JuneDeparture day

Transfer from your hotel to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.

This marks the end of your memorable 9-Day Kenya Safari Adventure.

Tips & Important things to know before travelling to Kenya

A brochure including a packing list will be provided at a later stage.
  • Baggage Allowance - For this trip, hard or large suitcases and extra hand luggage are not permitted due to limited vehicle space. Each traveller may bring one soft bag (duffel bag or soft medium luggage) and one backpack only, to ensure everyone enjoys their trip and fits comfortably in their safari vehicle. Hard suitcases could get damaged during handling due to tight space.
  • Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity may be inconsistent, especially during game drives. Connectivity at lodges varies by location due to the remote nature of the some areas.
  • It is recommended to invest in and pack a good pair of binoculars
  • Pack a light jacket to keep warm in certain areas and a light rain jacket just in case
  • All vehicles have plugs where you may charge all your electronics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to arrive earlier / stay longer?

Yes, of course. As long as you are in Kenya on the trip dates, you are free to arrive/ leave whenever you want. It is best to let us know your plans so we can organise transfers accordingly. 

Do I need a visa to enter Kenya?

Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. Please check the relevant entry requirements before you travel.

For Maltese citizens:

  • Kenya – An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is required. The cost is approximately USD 30. You can apply online at https://etakenya.go.ke/.

GTB can assist with visa/ETA processes if needed. Should entry laws change between the time of writing and your departure date, GTB will update you privately.

Are any vaccines required to enter the country?

It is strongly recommended that you consult your doctor or the Immunisation Centre in Malta before travelling. They can advise you on any recommended vaccinations or preventive measures to help ensure your safety and wellbeing during your trip.

Contact the Immunisation Centre on immunisation@gov.mt or 21231231 ext 7 to set up appointments for vaccination.

What is the accommodation like?

Accommodation will be hand selected and a mix of lodges and hotels, rated,  3-4* hotels. The price includes accommodation in a shared private twin sharing room, however, if one wishes to have a private room that sleeps (1 person) this is possible at an additional cost. You could choose your option at check-out. Single supplement is at €700. 

What type of insurance do I need?

Every client is required to have a travel insurance package. This needs to be presented to us prior the trip.

Currency and preferred payment method while in Kenya

  • Kenya: uses Kenyan Shillings (KES)

How about food?

During your trip, expect a mix of buffet-style international and local dishes at lodges/hotels, with packed lunches provided for game drives and excursions.

If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, inform us ahead of time so we can notify the lodges and camps. Bottled or filtered water will be provided at all times.

Payment Details

To secure your spot, a 20% deposit (€550) is required after completing the booking form. Payment can be made either by bank transfer or through our online payment system by selecting the 20% payment option.

The remaining balance will be paid in two instalments:

  • Second payment: Due by 1 December 2026
  • Final balance: Due by 1 March 2027
