Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a captivating Muscat city tour, exploring its iconic landmarks and cultural treasures including Muttrah Souq, Al Alam Palace, Sultan Qaboos Mosque and the Royal Opera House. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of Omani cuisine. 

In the afternoon, you will head off on a 2.5 hour journey to your next destination – Jabal Akhdar.

• Enjoy a hike (3-4km, approx 1.5 hours) in Siq village in Jebel Akhdar and discover more about the history of mountain villages in Oman.

• Reach the point for adventure and challenge yourself to a via ferrata (approx 2 hours) and ziplining experience with the beautiful landscape views of Jebel Akhdar.
• Dinner is served at the hotel and the evening ends with going to a light pollution-free area for stargazing in the mountains 25 minutes away from the hotel.

Begin your day at 8 am with a visit to Nizwa Fort and Souq for cultural immersion. After lunch, you will head to Bidiyah desert for the next part of this incredible tour of Oman. In the Bidiyah Desert, you can experience thrilling dune bashing, camel rides, and sandboarding. Enjoy a stunning sunset over the dunes, and immerse yourself in Bedouin culture with traditional music and cuisine at a desert camp.

Accommodation: Private huts with private toilet and shower. Please note, this is an adventure and a stay in the middle of a desert, the internet could be limited, electricity could be limited (ideally bring battery packs) and the hot water depends on solar power.

Drive: 3 hours to campsite in the desert

• Start your morning with a hearty breakfast before setting off to Wadi Hawir for an exciting canyoning adventure.
• Enjoy a locally prepared lunch prepared by locals. 
• Next, venture to the breathtaking Wadi Bani Khalid for scenic vistas and relaxation
• Return to your desert camp for an evening of traditional Omani cuisine accompanied by live music from a Omani band.

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Wadi Shab for a beautiful canyon hike which features many breathtaking views. Hiking distance 5km with swimming included. Refuel with a local lunch on the beach.

Return to Muscat for overnight at hotel.

Located in the Middle East bordering the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Oman has a mainly dry desert climate with warm weather all year round. December is winter time in Oman, but although it’s relatively mild at this time of year, temperatures are still ideal for a holiday in the sun. The weather in December is much more comfortable and perfect for relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea or lazing about by the pool.

Averages

The average temperature in the capital Muscat at this time of year’s a warm 23°C, reaching highs of 27°C. The sun’s strong all year round in this part of the world, so make sure you stay safe by applying sun cream regularly, finding shade and drinking lots of water. After dark temperatures drop as low as 19°C, ideal for evenings out. Just 10mm of rain’s expected during the month, while the seas are an inviting 25°C.

Accomodation will be hand selected 3-4* hotels. The price includes accommodation in a shared private double room, however, if one wishes to have a private room that sleeps (1 person) this is possible at an additional cost of  €450. 

Vaccinations are subjective – they are required like most destinations outside of Europe. Best is to check with your doctor or Health Centre.

Yes, a visa is required to enter Oman which costs 20 OMR approx €50.
