Arrival at Funchal Airport, where you’ll be welcomed by your trip guide and transferred comfortably to our luxury hotel. After check-in, dinner will be at your own leisure.
For those arranging their own flights it is important to arrive in Funchal on 6 November by 8PM.

The tour then continues to Pico dos Barcelos, offering panoramic views over Funchal and the surrounding coastline, before heading to the spectacular viewpoint of Eira do Serrado, where dramatic mountain scenery overlooks the picturesque valley of Curral das Freiras.

Head towards Achada do Teixeira, located in the heart of Madeira’s breathtaking mountain landscape. From here, the adventure begins with one of the island’s most iconic hiking experiences, the trail to Pico Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peak. A packed breakfast will be provided since departure will be early.
This scenic route is considered one of the easiest and most accessible ways to reach the summit, following a well-maintained trail surrounded by dramatic rock formations, mountain scenery, and unforgettable panoramic views.
As the group walks through the peaceful atmosphere of dawn, the first light of day gradually illuminates Madeira’s central mountain massif. Upon reaching Pico Ruivo at 1,862 metres above sea level, witness a truly magical sunrise as the sky transforms into shades of gold, orange, and soft pink above the clouds.
On clear days, guests can admire spectacular views stretching across the island, creating a unique moment of tranquility, connection, and awe in one of Madeira’s most extraordinary natural settings.

To secure your spot you need to send a €600 deposit either via bank transfer or our online payment system after completing the booking form. Second payment of €800 is required by 25/7/26 and final payment is due on 15/09/2026.
If you choose to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing on explore@globaltravelbook.com as soon as possible. Upon cancellation, we will assess any recoverable amounts and provide a refund of funds that we have not yet paid, or are not contractually obligated to pay, to third-party suppliers (including but not limited to airlines, hotels, transport providers, and activity operators).
Please note that many components of group travel are prepaid and non-refundable. As such, the closer the cancellation is to the departure date, the lower the likelihood of recovering any funds.
Travel Insurance Requirement: We strongly require all clients to obtain comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Standard travel insurance policies typically provide coverage for trip cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (subject to policy terms and conditions). As we cannot assume liability for cancellations, failure to obtain adequate insurance may result in financial loss.
